This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled when you visit quiet-space.com (the Website), contact us, subscribe to updates or follow a booking link. Counselling records and confidentiality arrangements are explained separately when you begin working with Aly.

Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the Website, the information involved may include:
- your name
- your email address
- your enquiry, preferred session format and contact preference, if you choose to send them by email
The enquiry form prepares a message in your own email application. Filling it in does not send the message to us; you must review and send the email yourself. Please avoid including sensitive personal or medical information in a website enquiry.
If you subscribe, Wix receives your email address, optional first name and subscription choice through our separate signup form. If you follow a booking link, Stripe collects the information required for the payment. Hosting providers also process technical information, such as an IP address and request information, to deliver and protect the Website.
How We Use Your Information
We may use your information to:
- respond to enquiries you send via the Website
- communicate with you about counselling enquiries
- manage newsletter subscriptions where you have opted in
- send occasional updates, resources, wellbeing offerings or practice news (if you have subscribed)

We rely on consent for newsletter subscriptions. We use enquiry information to respond to your request and, where relevant, take steps towards providing a service you have asked about. Website delivery and security support our legitimate interest in operating a safe, functioning website. Information may also be used where needed to meet a legal obligation.
Newsletter Sign-Up
Our mailing list and newsletter signup form are managed through Wix. The Subscribe to updates button opens a separate Wix-hosted form. Marketing emails are sent to people who have opted in; sending a counselling enquiry does not subscribe you. You can unsubscribe using the link in our emails or contact aly@quiet-space.com.
Existing opted-in mailing-list contacts have been transferred to Wix. Newsletter updates may include practice news, wellbeing resources and sound bath dates. Wix processes form, contact and email-delivery information as part of providing this service.
Payments
Sound bath booking buttons open Stripe-hosted payment pages. Payment details are entered on Stripe, not on this Website. Quiet Space Counselling does not receive or store your full payment card details through this Website.
Website Infrastructure and Security
The public Website is hosted separately from Wix using ChatGPT Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure. The services used for this setup are:
- ChatGPT Sites / OpenAI and Cloudflare: website delivery, hosting and technical security.
- Wix: newsletter signup, contact-list management and newsletter delivery.
- Google Workspace: Aly’s business email and correspondence.
- Stripe: external booking payments and payment security.
- ChatGPT sign-in: access to the private website editor for authorised editors.
- Website content and uploaded images are stored with the hosting service so they can be displayed on the Website.
Providers process information needed to deliver their services. Some providers operate internationally and may process information outside the UK under their applicable data-processing and transfer arrangements. Provider privacy information is linked below.
Cookies
The redesign does not include visitor analytics scripts or advertising pixels. Hosting security and the private editor may use necessary cookies or similar technologies. Wix Forms and Stripe operate on separate pages and have their own cookie information and controls; they are not embedded into the public pages.

Third-Party Links
Links to Wix Forms, Stripe, professional profiles and other external websites take you to separate services. Their privacy notices explain what they collect when you visit them. Opening a link does not by itself subscribe you to our newsletter.
Data Retention
Enquiries and service-related correspondence are kept for as long as needed to respond and manage the relevant relationship, subject to applicable record-keeping requirements. Newsletter details are used while you remain subscribed. After an opt-out, limited suppression information may be kept to avoid sending further marketing. Contact Aly to ask about retention of a particular record; counselling-record arrangements are explained separately.
Your Rights
Under UK data protection law, you may have rights including:
- the right to access your personal data
